“The obvious ways to increase your kerb appeal are making sure the lawn is neat, the bushes and trees are trimmed and a fresh coat of paint where necessary, but if you really want to create the wow factor and make your home truly memorable, you need to think outside the box and pay closer attention to details,” says McKirby.

He offers the following tips for a home that stands out from the pack:
