Another pivotal game in the Premier League Title, the Manchester derby served spectators with great entertainment. With City grabbing the bragging rights in a 3-1 win against United, Goals from Foden And Haaland ensured cities three points and one point behind League leaders Liverpool.
The Manchester Derby started off in United’s favour when Marcus Rashford scored the opening goal for the visitors and United begin dominating the opening encounters. It was a fast start from United, towards the later stages of the first half City took charge and started putting pressure. The second half saw City take charge of the game and Cities pressure was rewarded by a stunting goal from Foden. After Cities goal the game become a one sided affair with City making they win it. Foden scored for city and in the 90th Haaland finished off the game.
The stakes off the win have never been this important, looking ahead of Cities encounter with Liverpool in this weekend game, Liverpool have a one point advantage at the top of the table and the weekends game will prove pivotal in the title race. As for United’s season of up and downs the weekends defeat displayed how challenging the season has been for United and it will be a difficult for them to get the top four spots. While we look forward for City and Liverpool’s game this weekend, Manchester derby displayed once more the importance of gaining bragging rights.
